The building was constructed using bricks and mortar with a beam and block ground floor and concrete plank first floor with sand and cement screed covering.
The external envelope of the building is constructed using two different brick types, broken with a mix of brickwork and mortar feature panels.
The roofs are constructed with pitched trusses and slate tile coverings, incorporating an insulated flat roof area with a Bauder covering.
The lower roof valley disguises a large bank of solar panels generating green electricity for the building.
Specialist fixtures and fittings were incorporated throughout the building to meet the demands of the client and the needs of its residents.
Key features of the project include:
- Lighting control systems throughout
- Remote billing system calculating heating, electric, hot, and cold-water usage within individual apartments.
- Remotely accessed BMS system, providing a live dashboard of systems and energy efficiency
- Underfloor heating, MVHR, comfort cooling and HIUs
- Landscaped communal gardens, carparking and cycle storage facilities.
- Access control and nurse call with emergency alarm system
