Our team were tasked by Concertus to lead on building the specialised SEND unit for the Sudbury school in 2021 – giving children with special educational needs and disabilities a new place to learn that was built with their needs in mind.
The work took place while the school was open – meaning it was imperative our staff were fully compliant with safety regulations and minimised disruption to pupils, particularly during break times.
That included ensuring all workers onsite held valid DBS checks and a safe environment was maintained at all times.
We worked closely with the school and key stakeholders from the design stage onwards to ensure the new space would meet all school requirements and safety regulations and all communications addressed any concerns they may have.
The completed unit now provides a vibrant and accessible space for 18 pupils, transforming the school environment.
The BOOT Construction team are devoted to leaving a lasting, positive impact on all our projects – particularly when supporting the next generation.
This project underscored our commitment to excellence, meticulous planning and communication to ensure the highest standards of finishes to the client brief.
