Moreton Hall Community Centre

An important community hub in Bury St Edmunds was given a new lease of life following a renovation by the BOOT team.

The Moreton Hall Community Centre was in need of significant renovation to help expand its services – including its role as the local Post Office.

We constructed single-storey extensions to the front and rear of the existing structure using traditional construction methods, alongside the installation of new windows and doors.

Architectural coherence was achieved by coordinating our traditional construction methods with the existing architecture. This includes the use of brick, mortar and timber cladding.

It was vital the centre remained open throughout our works to allow for the continuation of its important community services – with robust segregation measures implemented to maintain safety and accessibility.

The project demonstrated the benefits our detailed planning work and communication skills to ensure minimal disruption.
