We engaged a robust team including KLH Architects and MLM as structural engineers to finalise the design and budget of the large-scale project ahead of a strict and tight 33-week timescale.
We were delighted to complete this project ahead of an already accelerated programme. The build included a large steel frame, an extensive power floated floor and external plant bases to the rear of the building. Works continued into the night to ensure an exceptional finish and keep the project on schedule.
The team displayed strong, proactive leadership and organisational skills throughout the project which made a significant contribution to achieving a successful outcome.
Soil contamination and underground obstruction presented unexpected challenges on site – but quick thinking from the BOOT team resolved these issues without delaying the project.
Additional costs were kept to the minimum and ensured the client’s interests and critical path were kept at the forefront of decision making. BOOT were subsequently tasked to install a new gas main through the industrial park to serve the new and adjacent building.
A spokesman for Edward Le Bas Properties said:
“BOOT displayed strong proactive leadership and organisation. Combined with a good understanding of our/our tenant’s requirements, BOOT proved to be a very capable and valuable development partner. In addition to the practical approach adopted and the quality of the work carried out, the commercial awareness, adaptability, real-time problem-solving ability and a general willingness to go the extra mile made a significant contribution to achieving the successful outcome.”
